What We Offer 

Temple Beth Or members believe very strongly in the value of Talmud Torah, Jewish learning.  We feature an outstanding Religious School for children 6 to 13, staffed by competent, and certified teachers; and we have a Hebrew High School program for young people past the age of Bar and Bat Mitzvah.  No child has ever been turned away from receiving a religious education.  For adults, we have an active Adult Education program, with both morning and evening classes. In recent years, we have had film festivals, guest lecturers and classes devoted to the Bible and Jewish History.

Observing Life's Milestones

Jewish tradition has always emphasized close family ties and a communal sharing of simchas and sorrows. It is a tradition in Judaism to celebrate life passages religiously. Rabbi Fierstien can assist you in this regard. Temple Beth Or's facilities are available for the religious and social activities of its congregation members.

Youth Groups

Temple Beth Or's youth groups are administrated by a highly qualified and dedicated staff. The United Synagogue Youth (USY, for high school age students) and Kadima (5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders) participate in local, regional and international activities. The children are encouraged to learn, to love and to understand their heritage.
